Wizard101
« on: May 25, 2018, 04:20:11 am »
Anyone play?

It's an computer game, MMORPG, and you're a student at a wizard school where a evil wizard is trying to take over/rule the world/whatever.  It sounds a bit Harry Potter-ish, and I think it probably came into being because of the success of HP, but it's actually quite different!

I started playing it to see if it was suitable for and that Child would like it, but I think I play more than she does!

I haven't.  I'm splitting my time between ESO, Pillars of Eternity II and XCOM 2 right now.  I'm on Final Fantasy Record Keeper at least once a day, too.

My kids are playing Roblox, though.  My daughter plays Star Stable which seems like a cute, harmless game thusfar.

Child loves Roblox, and follows several gamers on Youtube who play it! Through those gamers, she and OH have got into Fortnite, which as it's a shooting game, OH is rubbish at!

On W101, I'm now playing Mooshu with my Myth wizard, and I could do with some more friends to play with!

Mooshu always struck me as having waaaaay too much running down long roads.  Once you get where you're going, it's great, but all that running...  ugh.

But then I started playing Pirate 101 too, and oh my God, I want to go find whoever designed Cool Ranch and make them do all their number crunching with an abacus.  Using only their toes.

Don't get me wrong, I love both games -- I just want to, you know, PLAY when I'm playing...  not endlessly run from one place to another.

Yeah, the long stretches in Mooshu are annoying!

I do have Pirate101, but don't play it much at all.  I found it really disjointed, and not as clear to play, so I stick to Wizard101!
