My step daughter and son-in-law are going to be away for a few days because her maternal grandfather passed away. So she asked us if she could leave her dog with us! I'm so happy she felt comfortable enough to ask.
One of ours doesn't like Miss Dee too much, even though she's an aunt of his, technically. So we have a few logistics to keep them apart when we aren't with them, just so there aren't any issues, but that's fine.
She is an adorable little mop of a thing, smaller than our guys, and my Dad thinks she's pretty cute, too. It'll be a busy household but at least it shifts the balance back towards even female/male. LOL.

Glad you were able to take the dog in! That will be one less worry for the couple, in case they have to be gone longer than they planned. When you travel to a relative's funeral like that, you never know what you're going to find when you get there--like if there are other gatherings you're expected to attend, or they want you to help go through belongings, or stuff like that. So it's nice that they don't have to worry about the pet-sitter flaking out on them or something.

She arrived yesterday afternoon and will be with us until Sunday. She's settled right in but obviously misses her owners.
It's amazing how much the dynamic shifts when you go from 4 dogs to 5... Good job they're all under 25 pounds!
