SO usually I go to the board click on the show new messages since you were last here and read. But lately it always says there are no new messaged so I leave disappointed. But then I clicked on "read all unread messages" and there were new messages! NOt sure if this is something you can fix but thought I would bring it up.

Also if people do google him in the future they are going to know that the 80s **** star could not possibly be the kid in front of them so will move on. Maybe giggle a little but that's it. By then it might not even be what comes up first in google searches.

I think the vet acted unethically and I would 1) find another vet 2) report her to the vet board.

I rolled my eyes for the same reason. Unless the name is really really unusual I doubt that would come up in a google search. Plus now I want to know the name too.

The most amusing thing about that letter Amara, as someone who grew up growing our own veg/with house cows etc, is that he expects to be able to grow all the food he needs without tilling the land!  That's impossible, unless he means doing it by hand without using machinery!!  We spent hours every time, digging the soil/mixing in fertiliser (cow or chicken muck) in order to prep the land for veg!

I think most people don't realize just how hard farming really is and that living off the land isn't the easy life style movies make it seem.

I am a white middle class woman. I am a member of a book club. When we were first starting the one middle class black woman went to the wrong house - instead of 123 main she went to 121 main. She knocked on the door and noone answered so she figured that she was early and went back into her car to wait. Then the police showed up and he knocked on her window with his hand on his gun as he asked her what she was doing there. They discovered the mixup and he escorted her to the right house. I don't believe for even one minute that the owner wouldn't have opened the door if I was the one knocking or that the police would have had his hand on his gun when he knocked on my window.

Did the cousin say that the guy was moving in with him? Because mooches tend to hear what they want to hear - cousin could have made soothing noises and have no intentions of letting the guy in the door.

Both of those made me so mad when I first read them. I would not be surprised if they were cut off.

Wedding Etiquette / How to call off a wedding
« on: June 04, 2018, 10:38:01 am »
So last night I dreamed that for some reason I was remarrying my ex. Luckily I came to my senses with something like 3 - 5 days to spare (not really sure about time in dream space but something like I realized on friday and wedding was on monday)  So then I was stuck trying to figure out how to tell people the wedding was off and in the dream I didn't want to call anyone and deal with it. It ended with me picking up the stack to response cards and telling my mom these are the people I need to contact and then I woke up. But I thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss - what would you do?

Cooking / Re: Help a bad cook out?
« on: May 22, 2018, 11:45:29 pm »
I am a horrible cook. I also hate cooking. I got a free box from blue apron and I am hooked. The meals are delicious, they are fairly easy to make (the instructions are detailed enough that it is easy to follow along) and they are mostly quick (20 - 40 min and longer ones tend to be the put it in to bake for 40 min type). There is also a nice variety in the meals. Some strike out, some I can't wait to make again. They send you all the ingredients so you don't have to worry about "how do I pick out good X veggie"  - all they expect you to provide is salt, pepper and oil to cook in. For me it reduces waste because I am not stuck with odds and ends that I don't know what to do with. I would recommend looking into it. I can send out some free boxes if you want to try it. it is about 60 a week - which can be expensive - but for me it is well worth it.
