Caps fan because I lived in the DC area for a few years. Former hometown team and all. We have a minor league hockey team and we attend those games when we can.

I love major junior hockey, I wish we had an AHL team. I used to watch the local juniors years ago In our dumpy city in the state with only one pro team and that was a basketball team >.<

And there went the coffee up the nose. Ow. Also, is it just they won't as an unspoken rule or that it is a rule? Either way, that kind of sucks and something I wasn't aware of! I cheer for the 'Hawks, but don't know all the ins and outs of hockey.

That said, go Vegas!!! I love an underdog band of misfits and OMG that win last night! I was laughing my ass off when one of the Vegas guys got a goal in the open net. I'm sorry, that's a stupid idea when it's a one goal game. I get you want the extra defender and all but at least you would have saved a bit of face. Small bit. ;D There was an article about this earlier about how you should do it when there's like five minutes left, but I can't find it anymore. Google fu is failing me.

Aaaaaand. I'm dying. I can't stop laughing. I totally agree though! And will be cheering on the Knights. Mainly because how awesome is it for a brand new team to make the SC finals in their first season? But also because i am most decidedly NOT a Caps fan. Nope. not even a little bit.

One of my oldest friends is a Penguins fan. Despite my disgust and personal ban on anything with that animal allowed on things as benign as Christmas wrap >:] I generally am busy hanging upside down off the side of the couch screaming at my own team tho, so that helps keep me from total destruction around other teams fans. We should be okay lol

I tried dating a Pittsburgh fan once. That didn't work very well.

I'm glad that the Caps got the zero cups monkey off their backs! Since the metro division is doing so much these days...maybe there's hope for us yet.
