International knowledge exchange board/subboard
« on: May 23, 2018, 11:02:56 pm »
I enjoyed the Transatlantic Knowledge Exchange Board on the old forum. Would be nice to have something similar here, though maybe with a title that acknowledges the world more broadly, like International Knowledge Exchange?

Thanks. Love the “Come, tell me of your strange customs” bit.  :)

I'll tell you what: if we're allowed to say 'this is what we do, and there's nothing rude about it' we might be prepared to meet you half way on 'this is what we've always done; I get that it's a bit... and I don't do it myself, but... (shrugs)'.

Was seriously thinking of posting about the shoe issue in the international knowledge exchange. It’s a bit of a mix in Oz - know people who wear shoes inside and people who don’t. Then i chickened out, wondering if there’s just been too much drama on top of what people have been through.

But if you think everyone’s up for it, happy to.  :)

I feel this this group is capable of having this discussion and respecting regional differences without it devolving into accusations of respecting your floors more than your friends, so, have at 'er!!
